Getting to Know Volunteers of America of WisconsinOur StoryVolunteers of America, Wisconsin is a member of a stable and long standing national organization which has earned a 4-star rating (the highest rating possible) for sound fiscal management from Charity Navigator, America’s largest independent evaluator of charities. This is an increase from last year’s three-star rating and marks the third time in seven years we have received this coveted four-star award. Only one-quarter of all the charities evaluated by Charity Navigator receive this highest rating, indicating that Volunteers of America outperforms the majority of nonprofits in America with respect to fiscal responsibility. According to Charity Navigator President Trent Stamp, “Receiving four out of a possible four stars indicates that your organization excels, as compared to other charities in America, in successfully managing the finances of your organization in an efficient and effective manner. This rise in your rating is an exceptional feat, especially given the economic challenges many charities have had to face in the last year.” Click on this link to download a complete copy of the brochure "Telling Our Story".
